There has been a Patients Participation Group (PPG) in Sydenham House Medical Centre since 2003, with a membership of 18 to 20 people over the years.

I joined the group in 2013 and became Chairman in June that year.

The PPG currently meet about four times a year, usually on a Thursday lunch time at 12.30pm, together with selected members of staff from the Practice.

In addition we aim to have at least 2 Open Forum meetings a year with just the patients to discuss our way forward.

As a group I feel we need to be more proactive in order to improve our patients experience in the surgery. That being said, new members are always welcome, especially those willing to participate and share any fresh ideas.

Anyone interested should speak with our Practice Manager Jackie Morris or one of our receptionists to initiate contact.
