The Doctors and Staff at Musgrove Park Medical Centre are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. 

 We run many clinics for the managment of chronic diseases such asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups. 

 In addition to everything you need to know about the practice, you will find a wealth of health-related information. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site. 



- Appointments: please phone the practice for a telephone consultation or complete an eConsult. 

- Prescriptions: Can be sent via the EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) 

- Sick notes: Requested via eConsult and can be sent to patient via SMS text message or post. 

- Medical Reports/Medical Records/To Whom It May Concern letters: To be requested via eConsult or completion of our SAR (Subject Access Request) or TWIMC (To Whom it may concern letter) forms at Sydenham House reception.

Please note, our car park is for patients only and will be locked at 18:30 Monday-Friday. 

When We Are Closed

When our GP Practice is closed, patients should call the NHS 111 service by dialling 111. 

All calls are free from landlines and mobile phones. 


What is NHS 111?

A simple, free to call, easy to remember three digit number that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

- NHS 111 directs patients to the service that is best able to meet your needs taking into account your location, the time of day you are calling and the capacity of local services. 


When should I use NHS 111?

When its not a life threatening situation and, therefore, is less urgent than a 999 call. 

- When you cannot see your own GP, for instance when it is closed or you are away from home. 

- When you feel you cannot wait or are simply insure of what service you require. 

- When you require reassurance about what to do next. 


Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.   


 Improved Access

Extra appointments available at GP practices in Ashford


From 1st October 2018, evening, weekend and bank holiday appointments will be available with range of Primary Care health professionals in Ashford.


This is part of a national drive to improve access to Primary Care services and give people the opportunity to have an appointment at a time that suits them.


These extra appointments, alongside existing services, will allow patients to pre-book routine appointments with healthcare professionals between 8am and 8pm each weekday as well as appointments on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.


Appointments will be provided from practices in different locations within Ashford, not necessarily at the patients’ own surgery, but the health professionals treating them will, with their consent, be able to see their full medical records.


Anyone needing to make an appointment should contact their GP practice in the first instance.


Trained reception staff will know when appointments are available and with which healthcare professional.  They will be able to book an appointment at either the patients’ own surgery or one of the other practices providing appointments within Ashford.   Patients should advise the receptionist if they particularly want an evening or weekend appointment.


Please note, these extra appointments will be available for pre-booked care.  It is important to remember that anyone who needs medical assistance when their practice is closed should continue to dial NHS 111.
